John Josey, Jr. has a rhythm all his own, as talented with a musical instrument in his hands as he is with an airbrush. With a harmonious blend of musical talent and masterful airbrush skills, he’s a multi-talented artist and designer with over three decades of experience.

A self-taught virtuoso driven by his passion for art, John has perfected his craft as a fine artist, tattoo artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and musician. Throughout his career, he has lent his artistic prowess to a myriad of ventures, including:

• Airbrush and tattoo artist since 1991, with a focus on fine art and attention to detail.
• Freelance design services for publications, organizations, and websites.
• Creation of educational materials, charts, and book designs for a number of clients, as well as marketing materials for entertainers and businesses.
• Design of CD and album covers.
• Art classes for inner city youth and adults.
• Backdrop and scenic design services for photographers, athletes, and family reunions.

John has been honored with a prestigious Scholastic Gold Key for his captivating Pencil Illustration of Carl Lewis.  He has also worked on Christmas cards for the D.C. Senior Citizen Council, which sold over one million prints. With an eclectic portfolio and an unwavering dedication to creativity, he continues to carve out his place in the vibrant world of art.
