Pioneering the airbrush industry.
A talented airbrush artist and entrepreneur, Pat Gaines found his true calling in airbrushing while at the Ringling College of Art and Design. His journey began in Panama City Beach, Florida, where he quickly became one of the pioneering airbrush artists in the North Florida Panhandle. This marked the birth of his venture, West Coast Airbrush, which grew and flourished over three decades.
The growth of West Coast Airbrush was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Imagine this: the brand launched 30 stores across bustling shopping malls in five Midwestern states and Arizona. What’s more, they added a touch of flair with seasonal and special event kiosks in Sam’s Wholesale Clubs and other popular spots – a true testament to Pat’s unwavering dedication and innovative vision.
He is still sought after for his exceptional training and consultation services. His influence extends across America and abroad, with thousands of airbrush artists purchasing and implementing his acclaimed video training seminars. Additionally, his written work has been featured in over 60 articles across leading publications, including Airbrush Action magazine, Impressions, The Press and Shirts Illustrated, and Pinstriping and Kustom Graphics magazines, solidifying his status as one of the most widely published airbrush artists in the world from 1985 to present day.
Pat was recently recognized as the 2017 New York Times 10 Best Book Cover Artist for “Made for Love” by Alissa Nutting. The cover was also chosen as one of the best in 2017 by the book review Literary Hub, who described it as an “ultimate book design success.”
